Laser Faces is an ephemeral installation that, through light, traces a three-dimensional route through the streets of Barcelona, establishing a dialogue with the urban architecture.
The project explores new forms of lighting in public space, proposing the laser as a transgressive element capable of illuminating streets, guiding pedestrians, and redefining the perception of their urban journey, while also reflecting on darkness as a more sustainable and less invasive strategy.
Within the framework of Llum BCN 2026, Laser Faces will map out a route for visitors and interact with the Torre Glòries, generating a pixel-based animation and the appearance of anonymous faces across its façade, creating a disruptive scenario. Beyond mere signage, this intervention proposes a visual reflection on presence and absence as a human condition within the contemporary urban space.
