Lighting intervention that combines tradition, popular festivities and light in cities in a present/modern way.
The concept is to illuminate the city during Christmas, to pursue a human scale in everything social and to vindicate austerity in everything that is public. To dialogue with the concepts of classic and current and to generate its own codes in order to transmit contemporary values in the festivity.
A single element is proposed (the LED strip) and a unique language that gives coherence and strength to the three interventions: simplify in order to reuse and recycle.
This project vindicates the essence of popular festivals and traditions, the primary thing that brings us to the beginning and, above all, a new scale, new paradigms and a single vanishing point, light.
Plaça Catalunya
A look at the celebration, a point that explodes and makes the city beat, gives it the movement, the axis and the center.
It is an exercise to re-draw Plaça Catalunya on a human scale – the one of the pedestrian -, an impluvium that gathers energy at this nerve center, a pergola that generates a common citizen mood and protects with its warmth and its delicacy.
Carrer Aragó
A look at perception and, therefore, at the idea of paralaxis – the idea of the change or displacement of the apparent position of a body due to the change of position of the observer.
It is a proposal that traces a vanishing point, a continuous movement, a direction that are two. It is a single element in repetition, in constant change, that shows the way, the rhythm and the multiplicity and that wants to generate in the spectator possibility, magic and future.
Gran Via
A look at the idea of social comfort, and therefore how we relate, dialogue and feel with the city.
It is a proposal that offers the welcome, the transformation and the mutation of the cities in the most human. It’s a way to make the street feel like our home, it is a forest of lamps that transports us to new, more natural, more visual contexts and more organic: it’s like being at home!
