Shiro Wood is a lamp that reveals the warmth of natural wood within interior spaces.
Inspired by shōji –traditional panels that filter light in Japanese architecture– its sequential slatted structure modulates the glow with precision and balance. The light is not confined; it naturally suggests itself. The result is a lamp that unites structural rigor and visual stillness, creating an atmosphere of calm within the inhabited space.
It is crafted from materials deeply rooted in Japanese culture: hinoki wood and washi. Fine-grained Japanese hinoki is smooth to the touch, durable, and gains character over time. Washi—paper made from natural plant fibers—is supple yet remarkably resilient. Shiro Wood is developed in collaboration with Karimoku Furniture, a Japanese company renowned for its masterful craftsmanship.
